She is the owner of Sesame, the well known Asian restaurant in La Roma neighborhood in Mexico City. She now ventured into a totally different geography, while Sesame is an Asian fusion concept, \u00a0Paprika is a combination of Mediterranean flavors leaned toward Arab recipes. The restaurant mixes flavors from different countries from Europe to the Middle East. As you walk in you will probably feel you are in the heart of Soho in New York City, with brick walls and a cozy feeling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/comedor-paprika.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1016\" src=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/comedor-paprika.jpg?w=660\" alt=\"Comedor Paprika\" width=\"601\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The menu is designed to share all the plates amongst your table. This concept also known as mezze is based on the idea of serving a variety of plates in the center of the table so that everybody shares. Portions are small so you can try a variety of dishes and flavors. Here are my recommendations based on the wide menu this restaurant offers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1017\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1017\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/09.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-1017\" src=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/09.jpg?w=660\" alt=\"Beet Salad\" width=\"600\" height=\"397\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1017\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Beet Salad<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To start your meal you should order a drink, they have different cocktails with and without alcohol. I ordered the Calcuta drink, that has passion fruit, yogurt and honey. The mix of acid and sweet flavors make it amazing!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_999\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-999\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/10514729_811327185593942_1527034213078974256_n.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-999 \" src=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/10514729_811327185593942_1527034213078974256_n.jpg?w=660\" alt=\"10514729_811327185593942_1527034213078974256_n\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-999\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Salmon Kibe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For starters we tried the cilantro and the paprika dip, the Iranian rice with cranberries and the Charmoula eggplant with Greek yogurt. \u00a0We also got the artichoke and the beet salad which comes with some goat cheese.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/02.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-3\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1018\" src=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/02.jpg?w=660\" alt=\"02\" width=\"600\" height=\"397\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As main course we got the Salmon Kibe which consists of raw salmon with some lime accompanied with jocoque dip which is made from fermented milk. The salmon Saha is to die for, it is prepared with an herb, nut and tahini crust and it&#8217;s a little raw in the center of the filet. My boyfriends favorite dish was the curry sausage in pita bread with purple onion and yogurt. For the deserts we tried a few but nothing grabbed my attention, in my opinion something in the lines of baklava or halva is missing.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_997\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-997\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/1970557_817895784937082_7568345640424080398_n.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-4\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-997\" src=\"https:\/\/michelleonbell.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/1970557_817895784937082_7568345640424080398_n.jpg?w=660\" alt=\"Curry Sausage \" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-997\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Curry Sausage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Although I won&#8217;t lie the dishes are very condimented they bring out the strong flavors in the ingredients. All of the dishes we tried where outstanding. The place itself is extremely quaint and unique for Mexico City.
